Join us for this opportunity to get involved with the school. This evening is designed to help you navigate the school year. Get empowered with the knowledge of what your kids will be learning. You can expect to meet with teachers and administrators who can help explain upcoming curriculum and school policies. Back-to-school night helps foster trust, cooperation, and open communication between teachers and parents. We look forward to seeing you.
Our annual Black History Month Program offers a platform to inform and celebrate a culture that has been largely written out of History books. It provides a way to combat the negative images pushed by the news and media outlets with positive truths. Celebrating Black History increases one’s cultural worldview and moves one toward an attitude of acceptance, resulting in an increased ability to appreciate, communicate with, and relate to people across cultures. Please join us!
Ready, Set, Jog!
SCA students will hit the ground running on Friday, April 28th for their annual Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. All grades will participate, from preschool through eighth, excitedly running laps and high-fiving teachers and parents as they pass.
All proceeds from the Jog-a-Thon will help ensure essential programs at SCA continue and needs of the school are met. Thank you for your support.
Join us for an unforgettable night as students share and demonstrating what they have learned in the After School Enrichment program. Refreshments will be served and a student made quilt will be raffled . The quilt fabric represent so activities experienced in the program this year. We look forward to seeing you there.
Join us for our annual Black History Program honoring the sacrifices and celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of people of African descent in America.
Celebrating Black History Month provides an opportunity for all of us to increase cultural competency—the ability to interact effectively with people from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Cultural competency is increasingly important as we live in a society where technological advances produce an ever shrinking global world.
