SPIRITUAL LIFE

We are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ.  At SCA we value such characteristics as courtesy, consideration, honor, kindness, honesty,  and respect for the rights and the feelings of others.  Our students are nurtured to do everything in the spirit of love described in the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthians.

Chapel

Each week the school comes together to worship and praise God. Students sing songs of praise, encourage one another through Biblical lessons, activities, and games while learning of God and His love.  We welcome and encourage parents to attend with their student.

Bible Class and Biblical Integration

Students receive daily classroom instruction from the Bible.  We teach with a biblically integrated curriculum.  Our students participate in weekly scripture memorization and application.  Additionally, Biblical principals are applied in all aspects of school life with an emphasis on living a Christ-like life.

Service Learning

Integrating service and classroom content, our students effect positive change while meeting the needs of the community.  These powerful, hands-on teaching and learning experiences reinforce the biblical principles of love and giving.

Community Giving and Community Service

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)
In keeping with biblical teaching, our students and families are encouraged to participate and provided with various opportunities through-out the year to put love into action by giving including:

  • Community Meal Service
  • Community Food Pantry Donations
  • Clothing and Personal Hygiene item Donations
  • Coat drives
  • Christmas Toy Drives

Student-Led Intervention and
Conflict Resolution

SCA students are trained in healthy ways to open lines of communication, initiate problem solving, and discuss change. Understanding how to best manage and resolve conflict can lead to healthy relationships and opportunities for spiritual growth.
